Level 1 ( Beginner )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Students will be able to use basic words and simple phrases dealing with oneself and family. Be able to understand simple questions such as: What is your name, telephone number, birth date etc… Speed of speaking will be slow with repeating when necessary.
Reading
Students will start with simplified readers within a 300 + word vocabulary. Students will be able to read road signs, cartoons, catalog etc… Speed is not judge the goal is to motivate interest.
Speaking
Simplified communication. The student will be able to tell items about themselves such as, age, name, birth date, telephone, etc… The will be able to ask simple questions to meet personal needs, such as asking for help, not understanding etc…
Writing
Simplified communication. The student will be able to tell items about themselves such as, age, name, birth date, telephone, etc… The will be able to ask simple questions to meet personal needs, such as asking for help, not understanding etc…
Level 2 ( Elementary )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Students will be able understand phrases at a faster speed, closer to the normal speed of a native speaker. Understand a larger vocabulary. Listen to ideas about the local environment, places to visit and work etc… Listen to compound sentences where more than one direction is given, such as following directions in a proper sequence.
Reading
Students will develop a larger vocabulary with the assistance of elementary readers within a 600 + word vocabulary. Students will be able to read and give information based upon the material read. Be able to read a menu, time plan and short letters etc… Understanding is examined by asking questions and receiving answers.
Speaking
Communication of directions and routines in daily life. Be able to ask and give answers to questions. The student will be able to exchange ideas regarding present, past and future in simple form.
Writing
Student will be able to write simple 100 + passages to describe activities that they take part in and be able to write the positive and negative forms.
Level 3 ( PRE-INTERMEDIATE )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Students are able to understand ideas clearly, without the changes in speed and tone. Listen to audio playing and understand the details of videos in a professional manner. With few mistakes in understanding.
Reading
Able to understand passages consisting of high-frequency everyday language usage. They will be able to understand expressions that translate into feelings. Reading vocabulary to be 1200+ words.
Speaking
Are able to start and continue a conversation without help. Have a wide variety of everyday vocabulary. They will be able to use and understand expressions and phrases. Be able to read a passage and give a summary that is organized.
Writing
Students are able to write a range a story that allows a smooth transition between ideas.
Level 4 ( INTERMEDIATE )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Students are able to understand ideas clearly, debate and give their points of view in a understanding manner. They will be able to understand dialogues at a slightly faster speed. Able to understand different accents with little mistakes.
Reading
Able to understand passages consisting of technical material and explain the ideas so that someone, lower in language skills may be able to understand. Able to understand literature and how words may create a setting. Vocabulary should now be above 1700 + words.
Speaking
Are able to describe subjects in a wide range of forms using all levels of grammar. Able to enter a conversation that they do not agree with or have different points of view, without help. Have a wide variety of everyday vocabulary.
Writing
Students are able to write a clear passage arrange details that give a procedure and be able to inform the reader of events that may have happened in the past of take place in the future.
Level 5 ( UPPER-INTERMEDIATE )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Students are able to understand ideas clearly, even when the speaker in not a native and still understand the general meaning. Are able to explain in both native language and English the ideas that they listened to and explain with minor mistakes.
Reading
Able to understand long passages consisting with different styles and explain the idea to others. Material such as songs and poetry will be used to enhance expressions and understanding. Students should be able to have a vocabulary of 2400 + words.
Speaking
Are able to describe subjects in a wide range of forms using all levels of grammar. Able to enter a conversation that they do not agree with or have different points of view, without help. Have a wide variety of everyday vocabulary.
Writing
Students are able to write a clear passage in complex sentences, expressing feelings. Be able to write about a complex text, expressing complex subjects with a style appropriate to the reader in mind.
Level 6 ( ADVANCES )Listening Reading Speaking Writing
Listening
Have no difficulties in understanding of any form of spoken language regardless if it is radio, cinema, or at a fast speed with an accent.
Reading
Able to understand long complex passages consisting with different styles of writing and value. Be able to read poetry and classical literature and understand the meaning. Students should be able to have a vocabulary of 3200 + words.
Speaking
Are able to debate ideas and convince people of their point of view. Use expressions and understand slang words that show ability and understanding. They will be able to correct misunderstanding in an idea by step by step levels.
Writing
Students are able to write a clear passage in complex sentences, expressing feelings. Be able to write about a complex report of their education in learning English, while being able to separate between the positive and negative.
